I received the Chamber’s T-shirts yesterday and I am very pleased with the color and graphics. The ads look great as does the front of the T-shirt. It was a pleasure working with Tammy and Carol

LogoNation – Creators of the CommuniTee

Businesses, organizations and small town communities that want to advertise what makes them so special should consider the CommuniTee. The CommuniTee is a marketing idea that was started by the founders of LogoNation – one of America’s largest screen-printers. Each CommuniTee is designed around small towns, in particular, what they’re ‘famous’ for. For example, the small town of Indiana, Pennsylvania is the birthplace of actor, Jimmy Stewart. And the frog capital of the country is Rayne, Louisiana. Each little town has some interesting tidbit that makes it special and it is these things that the CommuniTee is designed around. The marketing aspect for the CommuniTee comes from businesses that opt into the program.

Each business that decides to purchase shirts gets their ad on the back of the shirt, plus they get to put their logo within a colorful small town scene that’s featured on each shirt. This scene is designed by nationally known, award winning artists. LogoNation also donates a significant amount of shirts back into the community. These shirts can be used as giveaways to help bring notoriety, and spread community spirit, to these small towns. Many places use them for events such as festivals, golf tournaments and as gifts for people who are new to the area. LogoNation is the brainchild of Denny and Jennifer Watson. The Watsons began their business with the purchase of a tabletop pad printer, which they used to make promotional items like pens, coffee mugs and key chains. However, it was their desire to make LogoNation into a much bigger operation, so they took a screen-printing class and started printing items like sweatshirts, t-shirts and caps. It wasn’t long before the CommuniTee was launched, and sales were so overwhelming, that Denny and Jennifer decided to move their operation into a bigger location.

Today, LogoNation prints the CommuniTee for over 1000 towns, which amounts to over half a million shirts. They’ve risen to become one of the largest, most successful screen-printers in America.
